Lottery for School Applications

1. We are currently accepting applications for the 2010-2011 school year until September 2, 2010.
2. On September 9, 2010 at 9 a.m. a public lottery will be conducted in the school auditorium to establish waiting lists for each grade level.
3. Lottery applications can be obtained in the school office Monday through Friday 8:00 – 4:30 p.m.

Carpenter’s PTA Nominating Committee is conducting a special meeting on Wednesday, July 14th at 8am to formally vote in next year’s PTA Board. We are pleased to announce the PTA Board, they are:

MILLIKAN MIDDLE SCHOOL INFORMATION

In a presentation at our PTA/PFC General meeting this week Mr. John Plevack, principal of Milliken Middle School and Performing Arts Magnet, invited interested Carpenter parents to come and visit the school or, if that isn’t possible, to call the school to have your questions answered. Additionally Ms. LaTanya Montgomery, PTSA President at Millikan, invited parents who would like to volunteer at the school to contact her. ANNUAL GIVING CAMPAIGN

THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to The Annual Giving Campaign this year.
For donors at the $600 level and above, we invite you to paint a tile with your family’s name, which will be mounted on a wall at the school (check out the wall in the main building near the door to the office for last year’s tiles).

This year’s tile painting is scheduled for Monday, June 7, from 8:15 to 10:00a.m. (if you’d like to do it without kids) AND also from 2:20 – 4:30p.m. Also, the following day, Tuesday, June 8, from 2:20 – 4:30 p.m., all will be in Cafe West.

Please remember, it’s not too late! If you’ve been planning to give this year, but just haven’t had the time, extra packets are on the table just outside the front office or you can give online at ParentsforCarpenter.com.

And, you’ll still be eligible to make a tile if you turn it in by June 8!
